Artificial insemination in animals is an art in which semen from a bull is stored through various actions. This accumulated semen can be stored in liquid nitrogen for several years. By placing this accumulated semen in the uterus of the female in the item, the female animal is inseminated. This process of conception is called artificial insemination.
Benefits of artificial insemination:
Compared to natural conception, artificial insemination has many benefits, the main benefits of which are as follows: -
1. Artificial insemination can be availed by using bull semen of far superior breed and quality in other countries even in cow and buffalo.
2. In this method, old or stranded bull with good qualities can also be used for breeding. 3. Artificial insemination, bulls with superior and good qualities can be used more and more. 4. In the natural method, 60–70 cows or buffaloes can be conceived in a year by a bull, whereas artificial insemination method can conceive thousands of cows or buffaloes in a year with the semen of a bull.

5. Semen of good bull can be used even after its death.

6. This method saves money and labor because cattle rearers do not need to raise bulls.

7. In this method it is easy to keep records related to breeding of animals.

8. Disabled or helpless cows / buffaloes can also be used for breeding in this method.

9. In artificial insemination, the size or weight of the bull does not matter at the time of conception of the female.


10. In artificial insemination method, infectious diseases spreading from male to female and female to male can be avoided.
